Stefan Sagmeister Concept Board

Stefan Sagmeister was born on August 6th, 1962 to today; he is 52 years old right now. Sagmeister discovered his passion for graphic design when he was 15 years old. He is living in New York now, where he worked for Tibor Kalman, of M&Co, who was the most influential designer to him. During this period, he gained the reputation for being a “design bad boy” and Kalman encouraged this uniqueness or creativeness of his. Sagmeister expresses his creativity, by doing mostly the covers for artists(music) because it connects more to the singer and him than being in a project for business.

Stefan Sagmeister wanted to change people’s views and opinions of what art is. He wanted others to feel what the designer felt through the art they created. In addition, he believes that art represents the artist that carry on with them till death, and can get people to feel something or have opinions on it long after they died.
